Oh, hey Finesser! Back again for some tips, I see :) Taking care of your hair extensions is essential for keeping them for 2+ years. With that being said, here are some tips for properly caring for your Straight and Body Wave extensions.

First, conditioning your extensions at least every two weeks will extend their longevity. Products that promote hair moisture is ideal! When you are Conditioning the hair, there is no need to massage it, but brushing and detangling while wet is critical! When detangling and brushing, start from the bottom of the hair (the furthest away from the track/root) and move upward! A paddle brush or wide tooth comb is best when detangling and brushing.

(Optional) After washing the hair, use about a dime-size amount of oil; this will help with locking in the hair's moisture.

Let your hair dry completely before styling or installation. Air drying is preferred but using a blow dryer is also okay.

Once your hair is ready to be styled, make sure you apply a heat protector of some sort to protect the extensions from heat damage.
